Post Production

The process of post production can be just as time consuming as the production itself. We have spent the last three weeks editing and packaging for the film. We have two packaged versions. The version for the film festivals that just has the film on it and the public version with all the extra features that include outtakes, commentary, deleted scenes, etc.

We great excitement we are wrapping post production. The film is locked and all the extra features has been laid in. We have created the DVD artwork and simply need to duplicate. A few close friends have seen the whole DVD package and loved it. Next is the screening for cast and crew...

Chosen Festivals

We have chosen the festivals that we will submit C.S.I. Sierra Madre to:

DC Short Film Festival

Most film festivals, including so-called independent-friendly events, focus attention on the commercial possibilities and establishment filmmakers. DC Shorts turns the spotlight on truly independent short films, created by new and established filmmakers in an era of digital video and home computers -- an era where the art of filmmaking is opening to all. Our selection of films features entries from the entire spectrum -- from experienced directors to an amateur family production. It is our hope that the filmmakers will both teach and learn as they gather in Washington, DC. Last year's event screened more than 65 films from 9 countries. Each one of the seven showcase played to sold out audiences.

San Diego Film Festival
Held in the Gaslamp Quarter— San Diego's premier entertainment district— San Diego Film Festival is the perfect destination Festival for your next great escape! SDFF has earned more than 10 industry and regional awards, including Best Beach Fest, Best Party Fest, Best Regional Fest and a coveted spot as one of the country’s Top 10 Film Festival Vacations. The competitive five-day event is looking for the best in American and International narrative features, documentaries and short films, as well as screenplays. Seventy-five films will be selected and judged for awards in the following categories: Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Documentary and Best Short Film. Cash prize for top screenplay. The festival also offers a unique collaboration with the American Screenwriters Association’s annual conference, intimate nightly filmmaker receptions, and five nights of San Diego's most glamorous parties. SDFF celebrates its fifth anniversary Sept. 27- October 1, 2006.

Hollywood Film Festival
We are very proud that our finalists and winners have secured agents and distribution deals (HBO, Miramax, IFC, Indican, 7th Art Releasing, and StarZ among other distributors) due to their exposure during our Hollywood Film Festival.

"For up-and-coming filmmakers looking for a break the festival is the ultimate networking opportunity", said "Daily Variety."

Our latest success story is our HFF winner, CRAIG BREWER, for the sale of his movie "Hustle and Flow" to Paramount Studios for $9 million. Craig Brewer was discovered at the 2000 Hollywood Film Festival when we showcased the world premiere of his first film "Poor and Hungry."

Big Bear Lake International Film Festival
The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing emerging film talent and independent films. Our goal is to create a forum by bringing upcoming filmmakers and industry professionals together for a weekend staged in the mountains and the Big Bear Lake community.

FAIF International Film Festival
Please come and join in the festivities during the 2006 FAIF International Film Festival. Ten days of fantastic independent feature films, shorts, documentaries and animation from all across the United States and Internationally. Watch as filmmakers compete for awards, both judges and audience choice, and discuss with you their vision and craft during after screening Q & A. Where better to have your film screen than at the world famous Mann's Chinese 6 theaters "In the Heart of Hollywood". Filmmakers attending will enjoy a variety of events including the opening filmmaker's reception, six days of seminars and workshops, and a spectacular awards gala. Events this year will all be held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel and within the Hollywood & Highland entertainment complex which includes the famous Kodak theater, the walk of fame, and Grauman's Chinese theater.

In addition, the 2006 FAIF International Film Festival offers a rare opportunity to meet the filmmakers. Directors, screenwriters and cinematographers eager to share their work will provide an exclusive inside look at the industry. Several films from last year captured the interest or received offers from major film distributors.

Hermosa Shorts
